Few days ago i receive one very nice video from Sweden, Mr. Jack Björnberg Krantz show some very nice flying with his ultralight Futurion. This young gentelmen is not only great pilot, but also very nice and light/clean builder, his Futurion RTF weight is only 115g! Most modellers can learn from this young lad building skills. Video; Ultra light Futurion in action. To download video right mouse click here and "save target as" (40,1mb). Pictures; New Jack Futurions, build clean and light.
Blue Futurion is powered by "Vytas Brushless" custom CD-R motor. Right lypo pack in right place.
Micro Modex custom 11g brushless motor, on ultra light Futurion. Dymond D47 on all surfaces, so far best servo i tested for F3P, with small modification it have more speed and torque than you need for indoor pattern and still hold center perfect!
Equipment instalation. Good old reliable ESC Phoenix 10a from Castle Creations. Nice place for battery pack, when it is placed in middle of fuselage (as shown in picture), plane stay balanced in horizontal an vertical axis, naturally this improve flying characteristics. To get best performance and super light weight Jack use Wess carbon prop 20/10 (8x4), perfect choic for F3P as and for 3d. New super cool Jack project "Emelie", main idea was instead of milling depron, just remove most of it and cover with super light film and reinforce with light carbon rods. Time will show is such construction worth so much work, since different in weight from milled plane and covered with film is not so big, but it is definitely something new in F3P arena and looks very impressive. Equipment setup. Construction bottom view. One more very nice project by Mr. C Mayer from Sweden, it is his new pattern plane Acro Shark for this year ETOC. Discussions about new Jack plane can be found here on RCGroups forum. Airbrushed kits available for 75eur, for more information send email to me. Special thanks for video and pictures for Jack, good luck at flying in 2008 mate! |
