"3D college indoor event 2007" Belgium, Aalst
Thursday, 22 February 2007

Second time Lithuania F3p team made long (~1900km) trip to Belgium Aalst, to 3D college indoor event. This time LT team was only from 2 people: Ricardas Siumbrys, and me. On Saturday, one day before F3P competitions we went to famous Airfield 34 with our friend Jens Van Dorpe to fly with his 2.6m Knoll models Extra powered by 80cc 3W engine with tuned pipe. Man what a great flying airplane, only sad we had not so much time also weather was cold and windy.
First i must say i never flew anything bigger than 2x2m... so i don't have nothing to compare to big Extra, maybe closest example i fly with is overpowered AFPD planes:) That Knoll extra fly so easy and light, 3W 80 with tuned pipe give awesome power for 3D, fact that after snap roll in vertical engine pull plane up with no problem, should say everything... Not every day you get chance to fly such awesome plane, so Jens thanks again!

On Sunday morning we went to Aalst gym earlier to start practice ( we both Ricardas and me had one week without flying...so our hands was little "cold" for competition)
Overall we had 3 rounds for F3P-a , 2 rounds for F3P-sport , 2 rounds of freestyle. There was Benoit Dierickx that flew very well in pattern and freestyle, also few young Belgium indoor pilots show really hi level.

Overall results:
F3P-a
1.Benoit Dierickx 100
2.Libert Axel 95.38
3.Pets Sam 93,22
4.Donatas Pauzuolis 92.01
5.Bert Dalaere 90.38
....
13.Mues Koen 71.47

F3P-AM
1.Benoit Dierickx 100
2.Donatas Pauzuolis 95.364 (im second because my first round was better)
3.Pets Sam 95.364
4.Libert Axel 92.053
....
15.Vincke Billy 70.640

Ricardas was 9 from 18 pilots in sport class.

After competition we had some time for free flying, Benoit tested my pattern plane Future and i flew his Aito and Fusion (that he used in ETOC). I must say i was very surprised how well these planes fly. Even with pretty big rtf weight Aito (~180g) and Fusion (260g) flew very good. I will definitely try full fuse airplane with air foiled wing in near future.
