Competition review
(By biggest F3P enthusiast in Ireland Richard Boyd)

F3P first ever competition in Ireland or the UK was the the most successful competition ever staged in this Island . When the idea was first thought of it was reckoned we could get about 8-9 pilots to compete in F3P-C . What a surprise we got we had 22 pilots register for the competition . It was felt that to give all the pilots a good chance of winning that 2 sections would be flown F3P-C and Basic Level . This Basic level gave pilots that didnot have a competition model the chance to fly and feel what competition flying was all about . We had pilots from all over Ireland , some travelled over 400 km just to fly and 1 pilot travelled over from Scotland by ferry also to fly .
FLIGHTPOWER UK  , FREESTYLE - RC , PHILLIPS ELECTRICAL , MOTORS AND ROTORS , MID-ULSTER MODELS  and EXPRESSFLY were the competition sponcers . The majority of models that were flown in the competition were Futures and Futurions ( DONATAS )also there were Smoves , Knuffels ( Slowflyer )and Doodle Bugs ( Expressfly ) and a few Ikarus planes and Index flown by designer and pilot Aidan . The whole competition was a massive success and thanks has to go to Banbridge Aeromodeling Club for there hard work and dedication . All the pilots that flew have requested another competition as they enjoyed this so very much . A special thanks has to go to Donatas for all the help and support prior to the competition . Myself and Matthew and Trevor Poots will be travelling to Prague to cheer on and support our great mate Donatas on the 19th - 21st of January 2008 .
