My friend bought Extreme Flight 47 inch Yak-54 , he ask me to build this nice ARF for him. I was curious to look how quick i can build it, since Extreme Flight planes are top notch when it come to kit quality and flying characteristics i suspect it will be super fast. Here is first view right after i open box:
Technical spec's:
Wingspan, 47.5 inch ( 119cm) Fuselage lenght 43.25 inch (108.1cm) Wing area 425 sq/in Weight with battery 38-40 oz (1064-1120g) according by EFrc. Equipment i will use: Motor: Torque 2814/820 ESC: Airboss Elite 45 Battery: Flight power EVO20 3S 2500mah Servos: HS65hb all around. Prop: APC 14x7E Weight: Same as Vanquish Yak is also buildet wisely, i can see it is super light weight airframe because of many lightening holes in its wooden construction. Material for most of plane construction is hi quality balsa and 2mm plywood. Hatch is attached with 4 magnets, it hold very good, and when you open it you get very good access to all equipment inside fuselage. First thing i want to know is weight of each detail, so here it is: Left wing: 67.4g Right Wing: 68.5g Cockpit: 79.0g L.Aileron: 19.7g R.Aileron: 19.3g Stabilizer and elevator: 28.0g Rudder: 17.3g Fuselage: 223.5g Carbon wing tube: 17.g Cowling: 63.1g Landing gear: 33.5g Wheel pants: 8.2g ---------------------- Total parts weight: 644,5g (~23oz) + hardware 47.2g (1.6oz). (To be continue..)
